Incident Management V2 (MAN010)


Description

The purpose of this course is to provide Cancer Care Associates (CCA) staff with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to effectively report, manage, and respond to incidents in accordance with organisational policy, national safety standards, and state-based regulations. The course reinforces CCA’s commitment to a just culture, continuous improvement, and the delivery of safe, high-quality care.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Define what constitutes an incident, near miss, hazard, and adverse event in a healthcare setting
  • Understand the importance of timely reporting and its role in risk mitigation and safety improvement
  • Identify the appropriate process for reporting incidents using CCA’s Incident Management System (Logiqc QMS)
  • Describe the roles and responsibilities of staff, managers, and governance bodies in incident management
  • Support a culture of transparency, accountability, open disclosure and learning in line with CCA’s values, legislative requirements,  clinical governance framework and the National Safety and Quality Standards.
